This module allows you to clone, meaning to duplicate, the various combinaisons of attributes, with their price and weight impacts, from a source product selected from the entire list, to a customized list of target products.

You can also create new variants, by adding attributes from groups not yet used in the source product.

Important: The existing list of attributes combinaisons of each target product is DELETED before the cloning occurs. DO NOT use this module on target products for which the current list of declinaisons should be kept.

Various options are proposed. You can choose the origin of the value to set in the created combinaisons parameters. Either the same values than these contained in the source combinaisons, either these of the target product.

For exemple, with the default settings, the combinaisons created get the same "product reference", "supplier reference", "EAN13 code" and "Location" than the "target" product.

On the other hand, they will have the same "wholesale_price", "ecotax" and "quantity" than the values set in the cloned combinaisons (combinaisons of the "source" product).

With the current version, images links are not cloned.

You are strongly encourage to get use of the settings on some dummy products, before using the tool on real products. And indeed to do a database backup prior any use of this tool (it does modify the database content).

Note about multi-shops features (PS 1.5):

-The cloning is done in all the selected shops.
-The data which are specific to the shops not selected are not impacted.
-The source of the data is the default shop of the source product.

1/ INSTALLATION:

-In Prestashop 1.3x, 1.4x, 1.5x, load the module from the Back Office Module Tab (button "add a module from my computer").

-In Prestashop 1.1 and 1.2x copy the content of this zip file to /modules/ on your server.

REMARQUE: This module has not been tested under PS 1.1 and below. May work but is not supported by the author.

-Click on Install, in the modules tab,  folder called "Other modules" (called "Sitolog" under PS 1.2).

Nothing to configure. However, we have noticed recurrents conflicts with the othe rmodule "Alert emails". This module can cause errors to occur during the cloning of abnormal execution time. so please always unactivate "Alert emails" (you do not need to uninstall it) prior using this module.

2/ USAGE

-Once installed, this module is accessible from the Catalog tab of the admin interface.

-Click on the + icons to open the categories.

-Click on the products or categories to select them. 

-You can search for specific products, entering their id , name or reference. 

-Select the source product (highligthed in dark blue).

-You can mix existing combination of the source product, with additional attribut groups values. To do so, click on a group name to see its values and select them.

Warning: Do not add attributs from groups already used in the existing combinations of the source product.



-Select the cloning options (default values = no change made).



-Check the saving checkbox if you whish to save and retrieve later your setting.



-Select the target products or entire catégories (check boxes). The selection of categories is recursive (sub categories, with their products are automatically selected).



-Click on the "clone" button.



3/ UPDATES



Uninstall the module before running the installation process again.
